Join us Saturday AUGUST 23RD as we showcase 10 riveting short films by NYC’s top emerging filmmakers! Each director will compete for the opportunity to move on to the 3rd round, win a prize from Seed&Spark Pulp NYC Carpingo Corfu Grill and more.

Launched in the Summer of 2012, Katra Film Series screens a selection of quality short films by emerging and award-winning filmmakers in NYC and provides a great networking platform for industry professionals. In partnership with Everyone Matters and Rhino Films the 2014 Grand Prize Winner will be awarded a one-on-one meeting with acclaimed Producer Stephen Nemeth from the Academy-Award Nominated The Sessions and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Pink Out – directed by Keith Haitkin
John, the owner of “Sauna Sensations,” is at a crossroads in his profession when one of his employees decides to leave. The recycling is also really starting to pile up.

Lily In The Grinder – directed by Michael Morgenstern
Ryan struggles to find meaning in his provisional existence, exploring sex and death and the idea of ‘becoming something.’

Pots & Lids – directed by Giulio Poidomani
Nick loses his dog and looks for him in the neighborhood. On his journey, he will find love.
