The 2019 Katra Summer Series continues with our Feature Film Presentations at the Wild Project Theater in NYC on Sunday, August 25th! We are proud to host the world Premiere of SUM OF US, directed by Anthony Meindl, starring Emma Kenney (Shameless, Roseanne), Isadora Goreshter (shameless), Kevin Csolak (Mean Girls on Broadway), Chad James Buchanan (INHUMANS, Star), Brianne Howey (I’m Dying Up Here, The Passage) and also the East Coast Premiere of ENTITY PROJECT directed by Jandea Percem.
Each feature film is preceded by the short films NO MENU directed by Teresa Lu and written by Kira McCarthy & Paul Moon in the 6pm block and ONE LAST SPIN directed by Ali Matlock in the 8pm block. Please note each screening block is followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and cast/crew in attendance.
BLOCK 1 – 6PM

Sum of Us intertwines 10 connected stories across generations that deconstruct the myths surrounding the creative journey and what it truly means to be a storyteller. Part LA LA LAND (without the music) meets Lars von Trier’s DOGVILLE, SUM OF US is a self-reflective experience that demonstrates that our beliefs about art, acting, ourselves and the cosmos are not always what we think they are.

A lonely newlywed man and a high end escort form an unlikely connection.
BLOCK 2 – 8PM
ENTITY PROJECT – Jandae Percem
Mrs. and Mr. Anderson used to live in a home in upstate NY and used their home to also practice exorcisms. Andersons moved out of this house due to paranormal events that started happening and bothering them late at night, and every person who rented the home had similar experiences. Jandae, a young driven director decides to gather five of his girlfriends for a fun time in the house and also to capture paranormal events in order to make a documentary of the house. They definitely do have fun time in the house.. but they also end up coming face to face with what the house has to offer them.
ONE LAST SPIN – directed by Ali Matlock
An engaged couple struggling with the financial pressures of the upcoming celebration, receive an unsolicited package. The package contains a peculiar item that has the potential to change their lives significantly.
